Le drapeau a été accroché par des militants du MAK (Mouvement pour l’autonomie de la Kabylie), à l’université Mouloud Mammeri de Tizi-Ouzou, lors d’un gala artistique animé par plusieurs artistes kabyles dont le chanteur engagé Oulahlou.
« Un signe de soutien au combat du peuple de l'Azawad à la veille de la marche du 20 avril que nous espérons grandiose et qui aura lieu demain à Tizi-Ouzou » dira l'un des militants.
