Woman can play significant role in mediation in Mediterranean, Bouaida

In a statement to MAP on Tuesday, following the first day of the third seminar on the Spanish-Moroccan Initiative for mediation in the Mediterranean, held in Brdo (30 km north of Ljubljana) by Slovenia whose deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Karl Erjavec co-chaires this session, Bouaida welcomed the decision to entrust the Moroccan Centre for Studies and Research in Social Sciences (CERSS) and the Toledo International Centre for peace (CITpax) with the organization of the training session on the role of women in mediation in the Mediterranean.

"There is an urgent need to include civil society and research centers in the mediation process in the Mediterranean," she said, adding that the new thing is the involvement of women in this process. Both centers will, by mutual agreement, set a date for this training session, said Bouaida, adding that the training session on women in mediation will be held in Rabat and Madrid under the auspices of Moroccan and Spanish centers. "We look forward to receiving the first generation of women from this great initiative," Moroccan-Spanish, she has said.
