‘War Stories From My Father’ is the culmination many years of research in N. Africa, Europe, N. America, and Asia.

It is also based on a lifetime of conversations with my late Father Master Sergeant Mohamed Ben Salem Lahlali; who was a Soldier in the French Army from 1940 – 1955; like Thousands of young men of his generation; he fought with the Allies in WWII; and the French Conflict in Vietnam.

This Book turned out to be the first detailed / personal account; in English from a North African Soldier’s point of view in both wars; as well as a detailed description of the Francophone Empire prior to its implosion and the independence of many countries from France such as Morocco; Algeria, Tunisia; and Vietnam among others…
