Vendredi 25 Mai 2018

Paris - The Viva Technology Expo, the world’s rendezvous for startups and leaders to celebrate innovation together, opened Thursday in Paris with the participation of 16 Moroccan startups.
The Moroccan pavilion at this three-day event was inaugurated by Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid El Alamy, in the presence of the Moroccan ambassador to France, Chakib Benmoussa.

The pavilion will enable 16 Moroccan startups to show off their latest technology in several fields, including healtech, agritech, green tech and govtech. This year's edition is by far the most international to date, with more than half of the 1,800 startups attending hailing from outside of France.

The event focuses this year on AfricaTech in particular. Young entrepreneurs and tech industry figures from the continent are attending the Paris expo.

An impressive lineup of speakers from around the world is expected to discuss the latest innovations, breakthroughs and new technologies at this event, including Facebook CEO and chairman Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, IBM chairman, president and CEO Ginni Rometty, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
