US NGO 'Teach The Children International' urges UNHCR, HRW and Amnesty International concerning Tindouf uprising
Washington - US NGO "Teach The Children International" urged, Wednesday, the UNHCR, Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Amnesty International (AI) to take action concerning Polisario's violent repression of popular uprisings by populations held in captivity in the camps of Tindouf in Algeria.

In letters to the said international rights bodies, president of "Teach The Children International" Nancy Huff voiced her deep concern over the bodies' silence regarding the popular uprisings in the camps of Tindouf, violently repressed by polisario militia.
She wondered about the cause behind these bodies' indifference, drawing their attention to the growing tension since mid-January in these camps where protests intensified with the visit by UNSG personal envoy for the Sahara Christopher Ross.
She also underlined the setting up of protest camps in front of the headquarters of the UNHCR in Tindouf.
