U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce Picks Rashad Bouhlal 'Arab Ambassador of the Year'

Washington - The National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) picked Morocco's ambassador to the US, Rashad Bouhlal, as the "Arab Ambassador of the Year", at a ceremony held Friday in the US federal capital.

"This recognition rewards the dynamism of Mr. Bouhlal for strengthening Moroccan-American economic relations," David Hamod, NUSACC President and CEO, said on this occasion.

On this occasion, Hamod highlighted the excellent long-standing relations between the Kingdom and the United States, noting that the summit meeting between HM King Mohammed VI and President Barack Obama at the White House has given new impetus to the exceptional partnership between Rabat and Washington.

For his part, Bouhlal underlined that it is a new recognition of the vision of HM the King for the consolidation of Moroccan-American ties at all levels, particularly in economic and business fields, as evidenced by US investments in the sectors of renewable energy and aeronautics in the Kingdom.
