Two trucks carrying drugs caught in Marrakech

Marrakech - Marrakech police services arrested two refrigerator trucks carrying drug to be smuggled outside the country, a police source said on Saturday.

The two vehicles, which belong to an international road transportation company, were loaded with 52 kg of cannabis resin hidden in the trucks' cooling system, it added.

As part of the operation, the police arrested ten people involved in this international drug trafficking and seized three cars.

An investigation was opened to identify other implicated individuals while the arrested people will be brought before justice following the legal proceedings, it said.
