Two People Killed in Road Accident Northern Morocco

Tangier - Two people were killed and seven others injured, including two seriously, in a road accident that occurred Monday night in the northern city of Tangier, local authorities said.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control of his car when the brakes failed, and it went careening down a slippery slope, deviating from its path and hitting a tree and eight pedestrians on the sidewalk, local authorities pointed out.

The two victims, who were killed on the spot, are the wife of the driver and a 5-year-old child who was on the sidewalk, the same source added.
