Tunisia will host the conference on the Mediterranean audiovisual sector in 2014
Tunis - Tunisia will host the annual conference of COPEAM (Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators) in 2014, the Tunisian press reported.
Launched in 1996 in Cairo, COPEAM is a forum for dialogue and cooperation between actors in the audiovisual sector in the Mediterranean region.
It brings together more than 130 companies from 26 countries in the Mediterranean audiovisual sector including the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Union of Arab States Broadcasting (ASBU).
Many projects have been created in the framework of COPEAM, such as the project "Waves of the Mediterranean" which aims to strengthen radio in the region, the project "Euro Med News", an internet portal that facilitates the exchange of audiovisual information and documentaries in the Euromed zone, the project "Mem Med" dedicated to the exchange of audiovisual archive Mediterranean cultural, educational and scientific as well as the project "audiovisual Mediterranean University" a network for university education audiovisual and cinema in the Mediterranean.
