The bad blood between the representatives of civil society and Moncef Marzouki, who is the subject in a few days of a motion of no confidence could be convened in the next two weeks for a full parliamentary session of the National Constituent Assembly.

The no-confidence motion against the President of the Republic has fulfilled the legal requirement of more than 74 signatures by  MPs confirmed Thursday Mohamed Hamdi, MP and chairman of the Democratic group in the Constituent Assembly according to  the Algerian newspaper Liberte.

A plenary session could be called in two weeks and if 109 of the 217 deputies vote for a motion of no confidence the president would have no option but to resign accordin to Mohamed Hamdi. The deputies were angered by statements made by  Moncef Marzouki on the sidelines of his visit to Doha whichweregudged to be in bad taste which angered opposition parties,including a statement that if secular extremists worked to undermine the authority of the government they would be hanged. Heis also said to have aggressively attacked the opposition parties encouraging the  further division of  secular and islamist elements in Tunisian society. These statements are said to have undermined the prestige of the ofice of the President of the Republic.

The call for ano confidence motion against the interim  president comes as a  new secular front the Movement of Free Destourians made up of six parties isto be announced. The journalist and activist Omar Shabou will be appointed  its secretary general. This comes after an alliance was formed by Nidaa Tounes and  two other secular parties.

. Moreover, the Movement of Free Destourians was born. It was created by journalist and activist Omar Shabou. The newborn in the political arena is open to Destourians and independents who are not involved in the former regime of Ben Ali. Yet he addresses Destourians. Destourians Which is it then? The official creation of this front will be announced in the coming days, it was learned from reliable sources. This front gathers six parties (the names of the parties will be announced very soon). Omar Shabou be appointed secretary-general of the new front.
