Tunisia ; Legislative, Presidential elections 13 October -end December 2013.
Speaker of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Mustapha Ben Jaafar said on Monday afternoon that the legislative and Presidential elections would be held between 13 October -late December 2013. The agreed date to be submitted for adoption by the NCA is 27 October,TAP reported.

"The probable date for the adoption of the constitution on a first reading is sometime between the end of June and early July; The draft constitution should be ready for adoption by late April," Mr Ben Jaafar said. elections might be delayed if the constitution has to be voted on by referendum, he added. The expressed the collective will of the government and the NCA to speed up work in moving fom the transitory phase to stability.
In an separate incident this morning, reported by the media a young cigarette seller from the economically depressed Jendouba area set im himself alight in front of the central theatre on Habib Bourgiba Avenue citing unemployment before he used a cigarette lighter to set himself alight. He was taken to hospital with 90 per cent burns to his body. The immolation of Mohamed Bouazzazi at Sidi Bouzid set off the revolution which ousted the
former president Ben Ali.
