"Trapped by her past," Khalida Toumi is challenged to respond to Parliament

Algiers: Finally, the campaign which targeted the Algerian Minister of Culture Khalida Toumi is not the "hidden work" of Morocco, but more especially the work of the minister herself, or rather of her religious beliefs.
Thus,  Khalida Toumi has been "trapped" by her past in a most "embarrassing" way. The video of the show, which opened this page in the past, quickly fueled the Egyptian press, before being taken up by the Algerian press, which has certainly not escaped the social networks. Most Algerian Web media, including Facebook, do not appreciate the comments of the Minister of Culture, reports the TSA website.

"Who cares what she thinks of Islam, only that it is very serious as Minister of Culture to be ignorant about Islam, which is the state religion ! "Said an Algerian internaut, while another noted," I also looked in the Qur'an, I have not found that alcoholic parties were allowed. "

In addition, and following the latest revelations, the deputy of the National Movement for Reform in Algeria, Abdelghani Boudebouz, called on  the Minister of Culture Khalida Toumi to give an explanation of her remarks and enlighten the Arab public and Muslims on this subject.

Khalida Toumi was ultimately convinced of the need not to be so different from the people of the society to which she belonged, but did not explain if she had changed her attitude and conviction, or just to protect herself from provocations, says Echorouk.
