Traces of the Polisario Front in Mali confirmed

Doubt gives way to the mass of information from the front andthe Malian Sahel which reveals a definite presence of Polisario fighters in the ranks of terrorist groups in Northern Mali. Seven of these fighters, one Algerian, Mauritanian and part of the Polisario were taken prisoner and forty others, including an Algerian emir Abdelhamid Abou Zeid, were killed.

Most recently, the Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tieman Coulibaly,  reported the presence of fighters from the ranks of the Polisario among the  hunted terrorist groups in northern Mali. These jihadi groups which had only 500 fighters against 5,500-7,000 men today, he says, "were joined by young people without prospects including from young Sahrawis in the Tindouf  camps in southern Algeria. Other reliable and credible sources speak of the presence in the forefont in Mali of about 300 fighters of the Polisario, or incorporated inthe active elements MUJOA.

The Tunisian academic  Tunisian Alaya Allani who visited Mali recently to assess the situation in this countries, published a long study in the journal "Al Arabiya Institute for Studies" . MUJAO she writes, "includes about 1,000 fighters and is composed of foreign elements, including 300 members of the Polisario and 200 militants of the terrorist group Boko Haram. "

For his part, Yonah Alexander, director of the Center for International Studies against terrorism (ICTS), under the Potomac Institute in Washington, spoke recently of "rallying dozens of members of the Polisario  to MUJAO in northern Mali." This alliance is he said, "an altogether logical result of a radicalisation of the Polisario and the exacerbation of conditions in the Tindouf camps, where people are held against their will by separatist militias ". convicted of collusion and complicity with AQIM and other terrorist groups in the Sahel, as evidenced by the kidnapping of three Western nationals in the heart of Tindouf Polisario, the American expert concludes, it "has evolved into force on the side of the war declared by AQIM,the Polisario and MUJAO against the West. "
