Three Suspects in Murder of Two Foreign Tourists Arrested in Marrakech

Rabat - As part of the investigation carried out following the murder of two foreign tourists in the commune of Imlil, Al Haouz region, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) arrested, Thursday morning, three other suspects involved in this criminal act.

According to a BCIJ statement, the suspects were arrested in the city of Marrakech and are currently subject to judicial inquiry under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office in order to determine the circumstances of this criminal act, reveal its real reasons as well as the terrorist hypothesis that was supported by evidence and data resulting from the investigation's procedures.

The BCIJ had arrested a first suspect on Tuesday morning in the city of Marrakech immediately after finding the dead bodies of a Norwegian and a Danish tourists, victims of intentional stabbing in a mountainous region in the commune of Imlil.
