The new ministers of Sellal Government take office

The new ministers took office in the government of Abdelmalek Sellal today. He underlined that the main objective of the government was the implementation of the programme of the President of the Republic with its program of political reforms and socio economic development.

The Prime Minister  emphasised the need to improve economic, public and social services  and to "win the confidence of citizens", concluding that "this is the ultimate goal for which we all work."
 
 
 The President of Algerian Popular Movement (MPA), Amara Benyounes took over as minister of Country side, Environmental and City Planning, replacing Cherif Rahmani.Benyounes was minister of Health in 1999 and minister of Public Works in 2000.
 
Dalila Boujemaa , one of the 3 women ministers  took office as secretary of state at the Ministry of Country, Environmental and City Planning, in charge of Environment. Previously she was Director of Environment at the same ministry.
 
Abdelatif Baba Ahmed becomes minister of National Education, replacing Boubekeur Benbouzid. He is Doctor of quantum chemistry and was chief education officer of Blida University.
 
Mohamed Benmeradi becomes minister of Tourism and Craft Industry, replacing Smail Mimoun. He was previously minister of Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion.
 
Secretary General of the National Republican Alliance (ANR), Belkacem Sahli took office as secretary of state in charge of National Community Abroad, replacing Halim Benatallah.
 
The other members of government are the Minister of Justice, Mohamed Charfi, the Minister of Water Resources, Hocine Necib, the minister of National Solidarity and Family Souad Bendjaballah,  Minister of Vocational Training and Education.
 
Mohamed Mebarki is the Minister of Housing and Town Planning, Abdelmadjid Tebboune,  Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abdelaziz Ziari, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Tahmi, the Minister of Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion, Cherif Rahmani, the Minister of Fishing and Fishery Resources, Sid Ahmed Ferroukhi, the minister of Communication, Mohand Oussaid Belaid, the Secretary of state to Prime Minister in charge of Forecasting and Statistics, Bachir Messaitfa, the Secretary of state in charge of Tourism, Mohamed Amine Hadj Said, and the Secretary of state in charge of Youth Belkacem Mellah.
 
 
The government team is composed of 35 ministers and one deputy minister and five secretaries of state. Three positions were entrusted with women, namely Khalida Toumi, maintained as Minister of Culture, Souad Bendjaballah, holds the portfolio of national solidarity, and Dalila Boudjemaa Secretary of State to the Minister of Town Planning, Environment and City in charge of Environment
