The Moroccan artist Wafaa Yasmine Bensassi Kabaz, WYBK,exhibits «WE ART» at BCK Art Gallery

WYBK, the French-Moroccan artist residing in Dakar for 10 years, reveals, through this exhibition called "WE ART" for the first time in Morocco her colourful world mingling icons, symbols and quotes.

Intrinsically linked to Morocco, WYBK has twenty recent works at the CBK Art gallery. IMPACT, JUSTICE, REVOLUTION, which  does not have its language in your pocket investing the canvas with moods and emotions.

Instinctive WYBK carries however a real reflection and binds to her decidedly urbain painting  of philosophical questions about man and society, which are interesting, including the issue of prejudice. The artist never ceases to wonder about the nature of man and the role he plays in its environment.

Mona Lisa to Marilyn via Charlie Chaplin and Mickey WYBK revisits these icons and takes up quotes by Leonardo da Vinci, Shakespeare or the artist Salvador Dali in which she displays a fascination.

Playing the symbols, her painting with African notes, WYBK draws air time and looking through her creations to visitors enter from the other side of the mirror, where her artistic soul is .

Born in France in 1978 and installed in 2003 in Dakar, WYBK book moods and ideas in her paintings which are in her image a true melting pot of cultures. Identified by the steering committee of the Dakar Biennale, WYBK displays no fewer than 53 works and nine sculptures in the Museum Théodore Monod.

Selected by the Foundation for Syro Art exhibit in France, her works have also been selected by the Benetton Foundation to illustrate the book "manufacturing 10".
