The IMF has its doubts about the Benkirane government's ability in the face of the the crisis

The IMF has its doubts about the Benkira negovernment's ability in the face of the crisis. Thus was the main idea of a report put together by the IMF on the state of the economy in Morocco, in the light of the characteristic twin deficits.

Dated April 5 2012, the IMF report, written by experts, has seriously questioned deficits which assail the macroeconomic accounts of the kingdom, complicated by low supply at the international level, lethargy in traditional markets of the kingdom, and rising costs of management and compensation.

IMF experts, while ensuring that macroeconomic fundamentals are not yet catastrophic, called for the urgent implementation of structural reforms without which the restoration of public finances would be compromised.

Notes that accumulate in the office Abdelilah Benkirane, folders of inflammatory effects, waiting to be sliced away from procrastination by politicians in the intra-government alliance:

- The reform of the pension system into standby for 10 years.

- The revision of the policy of subsidising expensive commodities and oil should absorb 6.5% of the national wealth in 2013, the equivalent of 56 billion dirhams.

Remember that Morocco for its LPL with the IMF, was co-authored by mail by the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the BAM, a budget deficit reduced to less than 3% of GDP by 2016, with substantial budget cuts in non-performing loans, and social compensation, except that the Abdelilah Benkirane government will cancel the proposals in the investment budget.
