To the chairpersons of parliamentary majority and opposition in both chambers, Charles Fries openly expressed his country's concern, on the completion of the TGV project in Morocco, France is the promoter and the main beneficiary of contracts.

 

According to a report in theArabic daily Akhbar al Yaoum in its Wednesday 27 February issue, the French ambassador, using the patronising term of 'Islamist' to describe the Moroccan government has revealed several questions reflecting the concerns of France over the future of the project to be implemented in the Kingdom under the era of the Benkirane government.

 

Responding to these questions, Abdellah Bouanou president of the PJD in the first House, said that this project is part of the commitments made by the outgoing government, adding that the current Executive agrees to comply with the commitments made before.

 

In the same vein, the head of government Abdelilah Benkirane, speaking to reporters from the French television channel TV5,reiterated the commitment of his government to finalise the completion of the TGV line, which cost more than 3 billion Euros for a small section linking Tangier to Kenitra.
