Terrorist cell that brain-washed and hired Moroccan volunteers for war in Syria and Iraq dismantled

Moroccan security forces explain that the ring succeeded, with the help of heads of terrorist organizations in Morocco and Syria, in hiring and sending to the two Arab countries several Moroccan combatants to undergo military training and learn to handle weapons and make explosives, pending enrolment to carry out suicide attacks in Iraq and Syria.

The interior ministry explains that monitoring the activities of Moroccan combatants who took part in various armed operations with other Al Qaeda-affiliated groups has helped to conclude that these combatants were determined to return to Morocco to conduct destabilization operations and jeopardize its stability by carrying out terrorist operations.

The cell members, that included a man who had been prosecuted under the anti-terror law, raised funds and practiced smuggling in order to finance the travel of volunteers to Syria.
