Tangier: Police Arrest two Girls for Spreading False Information on Suspected Cases of Covid-19 Infection

Rabat - The judicial police of Tangier arrested, Sunday afternoon, two girls aged 18 and 20 suspected of spreading false information on suspected cases of infection with the new coronavirus.

A statement by the national police (DGSN) said that investigations carried out following the broadcast of a video on social networks of four girls contacting the coronavirus monitoring system to report fictitious cases of infection with this virus, led to the apprehension of two of the suspects on Saturday evening before arresting the other two on Sunday afternoon.

The persons concerned have been placed in police custody to complete the investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor's office with a view to elucidating the ins and outs of this case, the statement concluded.
