Tanger-Med Port prepares to receive giant ship Triple E

Tangiers - Tanger-Med Port Authority (TMPA) launched recently a series of tests of maneuverability in its simulation center and nautical expertise TMMS, with the view to receive the new flagship of the Danish ship-owner Maersk, the giant container "Triple-E".

The Triple E ship is 400m meters long, 59 meters large and has a storage capacity of 18000 20-feet containers, enough to transport up to 36000 cars or 863M food cans.

 

The giant ship will start operating early this summer on the Asia-Europe line, said TMPA in a statement, adding that a stopover is scheduled at Tanger-Med port in early this summer at the inaugural voyage of the ship.
