Study: 42% of Moroccans want to leave Morocco

Turin: European Foundation (ETF) recently launched an investigation in Morocco entitled 'Migration and skills'.

In partnership with the Moroccan Association for Studies and Research on emigration (AMERM), the ETF presented the 1st results of the study, presented in a ratio of about one hundred pages.

It shows that 42% of Moroccan citizens openly expressed their desire to go abroad to live and work.

Among the 42% of Moroccans, 18 to 29 years headers come of age groups are represented.

Men are 48% of the quota, while 35% of women are aspiring to immigration.

In addition, the survey also focused on the study of situations for  Moroccan immigrants abroad, their social conditions and degrees of integration and social achievements.

The results were not glorious, and the ETF has revealed that 50% of MRE are in a situation of social marginalisation in their host country and working without contracts.

74% are recognized in poverty.

26% of immigrants have decided to leave their economies by investing in Morocco and 20% have established businesses generating employment.
