Spanish exports to Morocco rise in first quarter of 2015
Madrid - Spanish exports to Morocco rose by 1.5% to stand at 1.194 billion euros in the first quarter of 2015, the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness said on Wednesday.
Morocco has maintained its ranking as the first African destination of Spanish exports ahead of Algeria and Egypt, the Spanish Ministry said.
The Moroccan market received 2.3 pc of Spain's total exports at a time Spanish exports to Africa increased by 1.5% to reach 3.92 billion euros, accounting for 6.4 pc of its overall exports.
Meanwhile, imports from Morocco totaled 1.195 billion euros in the first three months of the year, representing 1.8 pc of Spain's total imports, with an increase of 20.3 pc compared to the same period of 2014, notes the source.
