Spanish exports to Morocco progress by 6.5 pc in Jan-Oct 2014
Madrid - Spanish exports to Morocco were worth 4.9 billion Euros in the period running between January and October 2014, posting a progression of 6.5 pc compared to the same period of last year, according to figures released by the Spanish ministry of economy and competitiveness.

Morocco is, therefore, keeping its rank as first African and Arab market for Spanish exports, followed by Algeria, Nigeria, and South Africa, with 2.5pc of the European southern country's overall exports.

The figures also show that Spanish exports to the African continent, worth 13.7 billion Euros, have decreased by 1 pc in this period, while exports to the European Union, worth 140.5 billion Euros, progressed by 2.8pc. The EU market soaks up to 70pc of Spain's total exports.

Overall, Spain's exports grew by 201 pc in the Jan-Oct. 2014 period, with a value of 200.7 billion Euros, a level never reached since 1971.
