Spanish Ministry of Economy: Exports to Morocco Spanish record levels in 2012
According to figures published in Madrid this week by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and competitiveness, the volume of exports to the kingdom reached nearly 5.3 billion euros, with a major increase of 29%.

Spain was then awarded the rank of the first trading partner of Morocco, relegating France to second place.

For Spain Morocco is  among the top 10 largest markets for its exports, finishing in ninth place, it absorbed in 2012, more than 2.4% of Spanish exports carried out by nearly 18,839 businesses.

Flagship products sold on the Moroccan market, were fuels and lubricants for vehicles, steel products, machine components and tools and raw textile components.

Note that this  Spanish trade growth with  Morocco, occurs at the junction of  unpublished facors influencing business policy, in Madrid, such as the People's Party, known for its moroccophobes.

As a result, this is an economic development occurring during a period of heavy and cyclical crisis in Spain and while the EU is negotiating a new agreement on free trade in the context of a broad push that seeks to deepen commercial and cultural ties with Morocco.
