Spain: over 194,000 Moroccans affiliated to social security late March
Madrid - A total of 194,762 Moroccans were affiliated to social security in Spain by the end of March, according to official figures issued on Tuesday.
Moroccans rank first among foreign non-EU workers affiliated to social security in Spain, followed by the Chinese (90,292 people), Ecuadorans (69,466) and Bolivians (56,975), said the Spanish ministry of labor and social security in a statement.
According to the same source, Spain's job market posted late March a rise of 2.3% in the number of immigrant workers enrolled in the country's social security system (1,563,343 workers).
The number of Moroccan living legally in Spain on Dec. 31, 2014, is around 770,735 people, according to figures by the Immigration Observatory (OPI).
