Spain approves strategic partnership agreement with Morocco on cultural cooperation
Madrid - The Spanish government approved, on Friday, the signature ad referendum of a strategic partnership agreement on development and cooperation with Morocco in the cultural, educational and sports fields.

The agreement, approved by the cabinet, aims to create a general and strategic partnership for the development and promotion of scientific, cultural, educational and sports cooperation and complete the legal framework in force concerning cooperation with Morocco.
It will also optimize the development of programs on Spanish cooperation in order to focus on supporting the structural reform of social policies by the Moroccan government, said a statement from the Spanish head of Government's office issued after the cabinet meeting.
It also aims to conform Spanish cooperation to the line of priorities identified by Morocco in various sectors, the source added.
The agreement, spaning eight years, includes the principles, instruments and actors of development cooperation, the rules to be applied in educational and cultural cooperation as well as the bodies of strategic partnership between the two countries, added the statement.
