Madrid - The Policy Center for the New South and the Casa Árabe institution organized, on Monday in Madrid, a high-level seminar under the theme: "Morocco-Spain relations: perspectives in a dynamic neighborhood". The objective of this seminar, which was attended by several experts from the two countries, was to shed light on the state of cooperation between Morocco and Spain, in the light of the development of the geopolitical situation in the region.

Morocco, thanks to its geographical location, enjoys a strategic position at the crossroads of Africa and Europe and succeeded, in recent decades, in asserting itself as a key partner for Spain at the political, economic, social and security levels, said a press release from the Policy Center for the New South. In this perspective, the organization of this seminar is part of efforts to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Spain. In her speech at the opening of the meeting, HM the King's ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich said that, regarding relations between the two Kingdoms, "we no longer speak of partners but rather of allies." As for Pedro Martinez-Avial, Managing Director of Casa Arabe, Morocco is a key country in the region and the African continent.
