Second Group of 108 Malian Imams in Training in Morocco
Bamako - A second group of 108 Malian imams on Monday flew to Morocco in application of the royal initiative on the training of 500 Malian imams in the Kingdom, official sources in Bamako said.

On the eve of the departure of these imams, a ceremony was held in their honor at the Malian Ministry of Religious Affairs, in the presence of senior officials and religious leaders.
During this ceremony, the participants hailed this laudable initiative announced by HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, during the visit of the Sovereign to Mali in September 2013.
A first group of Malian imams had started a two-year training in Morocco in November 2013.
Impressed by the Moroccan experience in the religious field, several African countries have requested the Kingdom to train their imams.
