Second Africa Telecom Forum, from 15 to 17 March in Marrakech
Organised by "i-conferences" an agency specialised in events, in partnership with Telecom Morocco, this conclave will be attended by over 200 speakers, including representatives of regulatory authorities, telecom operators, equipment suppliers, advisors legal, and strategy consultants, from over twenty countries,MAP reports.

In the opinion of the organizers, during the last decade, the telecom sector in Africa has experienced tremendous growth often by double digits. This was achieved thanks to the establishment of a framework that promotes competition among operators able to push the major telecom players in the world to pay more attention to Africa and that, in view you can enter the various growth opportunities.

They added that currently, the telecom industry environment in general and mobile in particular, has seen maturity levels vary greatly due to signs of slowdown that negatively impact the profitability of mobile operators.

They noted also that many analysts and experts agree that there are indeed levers of value creation for mobile operators and this, through several strategic areas that can ensure a smooth development in the coming years.

It is in this wake, they argue, that Africa Telecom Forum flagship event of the telecom sector in francophone Africa, intends to focus on new sources that will enable mobile operators a real value creation.

On the menu of this forum is a series of thematic workshops to better understand issues related to operational improvement and development of added value services, and foster the exchange of experience between operators, regulators and suppliers .

"Towards greater efficiency and operational improvement", "Development of value added services", "the quest for new business and increase market share", "The regulators in support of innovation" , and "The taxation of incoming calls" are the main topics to be discussed at this  meeting.
