I do not understand this change in the attitude of the AU which has been fully aware, for a long time, that this matter is between the hands of the United Nations which is trying to find a negotiated and agreed solution with the parties concerned, said the CCIMAC head in a statement to MAP, in response to the appointment of former Mozambican president Joaquim Chissano as so-called special envoy for the Sahara issue.

Some AU member states use all means to put a spoke in Morocco's wheel because of its outstanding development at the African level and bilateral ties which are continuously developing, he added.

Despite the fact that Morocco has no energy resources, it succeeded to foster its cooperation ties with most of sub-Saharan African countries as part of south-south cooperation, he added.
