Report of Inter-ministerial Delegate for Human Rights on 'Al Hoceima Events and Human Rights Protection' Published

Rabat - The report of the inter-ministerial delegate for Human Rights on "the Al Hoceima events and human rights protection" was recently published by the Moroccan publishing house.

The report, published in 192 medium-format pages, is divided into two sections, the first of which includes six chapters, namely facts and qualitative data, the Casablanca trial and fair trial guarantees, the actions and efforts of the powers and constitutional institutions, communication meetings and initiatives of civil actors, an overview of the context, protest, memory and space, in addition to conclusions and recommendations.

The second part of this report consists of the comments and reactions of researchers, academics, writers, political and associative actors and journalists, in addition to two annexes presenting respectively fundamental clarifications by the inter-ministerial delegate, and an inventory of media coverage.

The inter-ministerial delegate stressed that the publication of the report stems from a sense of responsibility, with the aim of contributing to the promotion of human rights traditions and practices as well as Morocco’s achievements in this regard.
