Renewable energy: important projects carried out in 2012, CESE
Rabat - Major renewable energy projects were carried out in 2012, said the 2012 report by the Economic, social and environmental council (CESE).

The first phase of the Ourzazate solar complex was re-launched with the sinning of contracts on funding, building and exploiting its first 160MW-plant, said the report submitted on Monday by the council's president Nizar Baraka at a press conference.
Referring to the wind integrated program, the development of wind parks was given an impetus with the designation of tenderers for the invitation to bid for the constructions of several wind parks of 850 MW, it added.
The report noted the existence of some flaws that slow down the development of the industrial fabric of specialized SMEs as the vagueness of the production and sale rules and the absence of an appropriate tax mechanism.
It recalled that the year 2012 was marked by giving concrete substance to the renewable energy development and research program which is part of the national energy strategy.
As for the energy efficiency program, the report underlines that its progress was delayed due to the fact of not publishing implementation texts on law 47.09 related to energy efficiency, adopted in November 2011.
