Qatar donates 35 million dirhams to build road in Rhamna province

Rabat - Qatar donated 35 million dirhams, on Thursday, to help build a road linking rural localities in the province of Rhamna.

An agreement was signed in this regard in Rabat by Equipment, Transport and Logistics Minister Abdelasziz Rebbah and Qatari Ambassador to Morocco Abdellah Ben Falah Ben Abdellah Adoussari.

The agreement specifies the terms for technical and financial assistance pertaining to the road that will benefit 17 villages and a total population estimated at 4,800 people.

The project will be completed in 12 months and will improve the rural population's access to basic social services. The road will also enhance the commercialisation of agricultural products in the targeted areas.

Under the agreement, Qatar will undertake the funding of the road construction and the technical and aspects relating to it.
