Public Prosecution Receives 572 Complaints about Morocco's Communal & Regional Elections

Rabat - Some 572 complaints about communal and regional elections were filed with public prosecutors up to September 2, the governmental commission for elections monitoring said.

Among these complaints, 396 were ranked, 143 are under investigation and 33 cases have been forwarded to judicial authorities, the commission said in a statement.

These measures are designed to guarantee the smooth running of these elections in its various stages, provide all guarantees for the moralization of the electoral process and promote a fair political competition, the same source added.
