Press: 400 imprisoned Moroccan Salafists repent and recognise the legitimate monarchy

400 Salafist have been allowed to send a letter to the ministries of justice and interior, including announcing an act of repentance and separating themselves from their extremist ideologies and past actions.
 
According to the Arabic daily Al Massae,  Mustapha Ramid said the 400 would communicate to the Minister of Justice and Minister Mohand Laenser their commitment to renounce their beliefs, and violence and make antonement for their past, and their willingness to open unconditional dialogue with the government, and eventually secure their release.
 
The same source indicates that the Salafists in question, have together created a structure inside prisons, called 'the Committee for review and reconciliation in Moroccan prisons,which recognises the legitimacy of the monarchy and  Moroccan Islam.
