"I will visit, Sunday, Rabat then Casablanca as part of the mission entrusted to me by the President of the Republic" to revive the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Vauzelle told MAP on the sidelines of the opening, Friday in Marseille, of the Mediterranean Villa "great place for culture and reflection" about contemporary issues specific to the Mediterranean area.

"Morocco will of course have its place at the Villa, that is open to all the Mediterranean countries (artists, youth, civil society, political and economic actors)," said Vauzelle, initiator of this project recently launched by President Hollande.

The French official will hold talks with Moroccan authorities in this regard, as well as with "all those who like us care for the Mediterranean, for bringing ties between Morocco and France, North Africa and France, and North Africa and Europe closer.
