Parliament's approval of new Iraqi Govt., important step for political stability, peace and security in Iraq

Rabat - Morocco deems that earning the trust of parliament by the new Iraqi Government is a very important step towards political stability and restoring peace and security in the country, urging the international community to bring financial and humanitarian support for its reconstruction and integration in its Arab and regional environment, said a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The Kingdom of Morocco hopes that the appointed cabinet will strive to reinforce national unity among all components of the Iraqi people, on the basis of citizenship and shared destiny, away from sectarian differences which represent a hotbed for extremism and terrorism. Morocco also hopes that the new cabinet completes its formation on these bases which should guide all its actions and future programs to build State institutions and achieve development.

While wishing that the newly-appointed cabinet has the capacity to counter terrorism, in all its forms regardless of its origin, Morocco reiterates the need to preserve Iraq's territorial unity and refuses any meddling in its domestic affairs, the same source added.
