Paris, Madrid, Lisbon and Rabat hail positive evolution of operational cooperation to combat terrorism
In the conclusions of the meeting of interior ministers of France, Spain, Morocco and Portugal, Manuel Valls, Mohamed Hassad, Jorge Fernandez Diaz and Miguel Macedo respectively, these countries insisted on the need to continue actions within the framework of the Europe-Police III program, a high-level training program for police and gendarme executives in the countries of the Mediterranean basin, with European funding.

The four officials emphasized their strong concern over the "constant and unprecedented" flow of citizens from their countries going to fight in Syria, stressing the need for continued vigilance in other areas of tension. In this respect, the intelligence services of the four countries "must expand their collaboration on this matter in order to detect and prevent departures and track the movements of these people to protect them, including minors, and prevent security risks."
