Rabat - The Palestinian State categorically refuses any comparison between the Palestinian cause and the Sahara issue as "inaccurate" and "fallacious".

A Moroccan-Palestinian joint release published following a meeting in Rabat between Morocco's minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar and Palestinian foreign minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, said "the Palestinian state, which believes in the principle and the need to preserve the unity and security of Arab states, reaffirms its support to the integrity of Morocco's territory and to the proposals means to reach a settlement to the conflict", and refuses that the Palestinian cause, which is the first cause of Arabs and Muslims and a matter of foreign occupation of the land of Palestine, be equated with the Sahara issue.

Al-Maliki also said at a press conference "we support the integrity of Morocco's territory as well as proposals meant to resolve the Sahara issue and we clearly and categorically reject any inaccurate and fallacious equation with the Palestinian cause".

"We do not accept this type of comparison. There is no similarity between the two issues", insisted Al Maliki who also argued "We are speaking about Israel's occupation of Palestinian land. It's very clear and it dates back to 1948".
