Ouattara: Morocco "at the head of the Friends of Cote d'Ivoire during the crisis"

Abidjan: President of Cote d'Ivoire , Alassane Ouattara, has expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Morocco for its support to his country during the crisis that comes through, saying that Morocco was "top friends " of Cote d'Ivoire.

"If one recognizes his friends during difficult times, Morocco was head of Friends of Cote d'Ivoire during the crisis," said the head of the Ivorian chairing, early Friday evening at the Presidential Palace Abidjan, the opening of a working meeting between members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty King Mohammed VI during his visit to Côte d'Ivoire and the Ivorian government.
 
Ouattara also expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for  his "historic" and "very important" to Côte d'Ivoire, to strengthen the historical and very deep between the two countries, which have been sealed by fire King Hassan II and former President Felix Houphouet-Boigny.
 
"This visit, he said, should allow us to go further in our cooperation."
 
Ivorian President took this opportunity to welcome progress "spectacular" made by Morocco on the path of progress and development, stating that "Morocco has succeeded and has modernised rapidly."
 
He also emphasised the willingness of his country to enjoy and learn from the expertise and know-how of Morocco in several areas, including tourism, vocational training and transport.
 
This workshop was intended to cover the main areas of cooperation between Morocco and the Ivory Coast in the coming months in order to develop trade and economic and commercial relations.
 
The delegations of the two countries discussed the draft agreements to be submitted to the next meeting of the joint commission to be held in June next in Abidjan on particular areas of vocational training, agriculture and fishing maritime, tourism, decentralization, ports and maritime transport, industrial cooperation, and management of water resources.
 
At the official dinner  on Tuesday in honour of HM the King, the Ivorian president paid tribute to the "political sagacity" of  His Majesty the King has allowed Morocco to consolidate its democracy and to the "maturity" and "wisdom" of the Moroccan people who managed to cross without damaging the "Arab Spring."
 
The Head of State added that the ICote d'Ivoire  "has a great admiration" for the Sovereign and Morocco, noting that the presence of His Majesty the King in Abidjan "reflects the exceptional quality of relations between the United Morocco and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. "
