Nancy Huff: Maintaining the Tindouf camps is a waste of time
The two American human rights activists are visiting the Sahara and spoke at a meeting with tribal leaders and Sahrawi activists in Laayoune, reports Spanish media El Dia.

Present in the Sahara to inquire about situations of human rights in the region, the two presidents are leading a delegation of activists from both American NGOs. They have argued that the autonomy plan is a successful experience in several regions in the  world and is an excellent solution for the reunification of Sahrawi families which would enable them to live in conditions of dignity and full rights in their country.

At a meeting with the President and members of the City Council of Laayoune, Nancy Huff, who has a long  experience of humanitarian mission in Tindouf camps,  is said to have noted during her visit to the camps, many serious violations of human rights, including the theft and diversion of international humanitarian assistance to populations in the camps.

Their visit to the region, will be followed by a report which will be submitted to Congress, the White House, State Department and members of the Security Council of the United Nations.

Note that the U.S. delegation will also, according to a statement from the NGO "Leadership Council for Human Rights",visit the Tindouf camps in Algeria.
