The central committee for immigration and asylum, under the Moroccan Association of Human Rights (AMDH), said it attended the deportation to the Algerian border in the Legunafda area of  152 illegal sub-Saharans, 73 of which were dislodged from the island near the coast of Al Hoceima,  by a mixed force of Moroccan and Spanish police on Monday.

The remaining 500 deportees had been imprisoned in different cities of the kingdom, including Nador, Al Hoceima, Marrakech, Rabat and Kenitra.

AMDH, whose findings were reported by AFP,  denounced "the inhuman conditions and mistreatment and illegal deportation by the authorities," indicating that the Algerian authorities inflict the same type of treatment for illegal  immigrants entering Algerian territory.

AFP reported, that Spanish NGOs have also condemned the violation of international law during the deportation.

For his part, Abdelmalek Berkani, government delegate for Spanish Melilla, welcomed on  the Spanish radio station, cooperation between the two kingdoms, considering that this is a "just" action against mafias engaged in human trafficking.
