In this interview given on the sidelines of the signing of a partnership agreement for the creation of "La Maison de la Culture" (Culture House) of Debdou in the Province of Taourit, Azoulay noted that the town of Debdou "is a striking example of the Jewish- Muslim dialogue. It is in this city that enlightened Judaism, by the most respected rabbis, flourished in the land of Islam.

" Indeed, "Morocco has demonstrated that it is a pioneering country in several areas. A country cannot have a future if it turns its back on its history. Coexistence is protected through the inclusion of all the components of national identity," Azoulay said. "Morocco has made in July 2011, what others could never do. I do not know any country in the world which unequivocally states in its constitution, that is a land, enriched by the Arab-Muslim civilization, and nurtured and shaped by the Amazigh, Jewish, Andalusian and Hassani civilizations," he said, adding that Morocco is a country that is immune to divisions.
