Morocco tops list of countries to be awarded Arab Prize for social and human sciences
Doha - Morocco tops the list of countries competing for the Arab Prize for social and human sciences, awarded every year by the Arab center for research and policy studies (CAREP) based in Doha.

Morocco is taking part in this 4th edition (2014-2015) with 14 researches out of the 38 competing to obtain this prize worth 100,000 dollars.
In a statement, the CAREP internal committee, tasked with examining summaries of candidates' works, announced that it has validated 19 summaries out of 59 on the first theme "the role of academics in historic transformations" distributed among Morocco (8), Egypt (3), Tunisia (3), Algeria (2), Palestine (1), Sudan (1) and Iraq (1).
It has also approved 19 candidacies out of the 50 on the second theme "Universities and scientific research in the Arab world", including 6 for Morocco.
