Morocco to host two major GFCM technical meetings in 2015
Rome - Morocco will host two major technical meetings of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) in 2015, said on Sunday a sources of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The 9th session of the Committee on Aquaculture will be held in Marrakech in February 2015. The meeting illustrates Morocco's will to further develop the aquaculture sector through its new specialized agency ''ANDA'' and the various investment projects launched recently in the Kingdom, the same source said. The Kingdom will also host in April of the same year a workshop on Vessel Monitoring Systems to fight against undeclared and unregulated illegal fishing.
