The Interior Ministry said this morning Monday, November 5, that the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) has managed to dismantle a suspected terrorist which is called Ansare Sharia in the Islamic Maghreb (ACMI).

The ACMI was caught on the ground and the web by a unit of the DST who provided information to the Judicialpolice who proceeded to the arrest of eight members of this new extremist cell.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, one of eight members of the ACMI is has been previously convicted of terrorism, its leader is an islamist cyber-activist Islamist known on Al Qaeda websites, to which he has allegiance.

The ACMI  had prepared according to the Ministry, violent attacks against a variety of targets: tourist sites in several cities of the kingdom, local secure  establishments and public buildings.

The ACMI  were also finalising coordination with violent fundamentalist movements in northern Mali, to purchase from them, financial resources and comat materials, for the purposes of its business in Morocco.

The Ministry of the Interior noted that the alleged leader of the ACMI, had acquired a formidable experience with explosives handling them with considerable skill.
