Morocco remains one of the few countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to enjoy a "long-term stability," said the British think-tank which specializes in the issues of defense and security. Located in a region shaken by the events of the Arab Spring, the Kingdom launched political and economic reforms that further consolidated its stability and social cohesion unlike the situation in other countries in the region, says "RUSI", stressing the importance of the ties of strategic cooperation between the U.S. and Morocco.

To illustrate the importance that Washington attaches to the development of its relations with Rabat, the author of the article recalls the visit made last April in Morocco by U.S. top diplomat, John Kerry, during which he was received by HM King Mohammed VI, and held talks with his Moroccan counterpart, Salaheddine Mezouar.
