Morocco's personal data committee sign cooperation agreement with Burkina Faso's counterpart
Rabat - The National committee for personal data control and protection (CNDP) and Burkina Faso's committee for information technology and liberties (CIL) signed, on Friday in Rabat, a draft agreement to set up a cooperation framework in terms of the protection of personal data and private life.

The agreement crowns the visit to Morocco by a Burkina Faso's delegation (May 7-8), led by control authority president Marguerite Ouedraogo Bonane, and aimed at establishing a bilateral mechanism between the two countries' protection bodies to organize their collaboration, encourage information and expertize sharing and supervise efficiently the cross-border inflows of personal data.

The cooperation draft agreement provides for measures in terms of authorizations for personal data transfer between the two countries and management of complaints involving the two bodies.

The draft agreement shows the excellent ties of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom and Burkina Faso, CNDP head Said Ihrai told MAP.
