Morocco's Net International Reserves Rise by 25.7 pc in mid-January

Morocco's net international reserves amounted to MAD 230 billion until January 15, 2016, recording a 25.7 pc increase on an annual basis, Bank Al-Maghrib said.

The reserves recorded a 1.5 per cent weekly increase, the central bank pointed out in its weekly indicators.

During the week of January 14-20, 2016, the central bank injected MAD 18 billion.

Over the course of this period, the interbank rate fell to 2.52 pc, and the average exchanged volume amounted to MAD 3.2 billion against MAD 5.3 billion one week before.

During the same period, the dirham appreciated by 0.31 pc against the euro and depreciated by 0.49 pc against the dollar.
